Training in the Simulator
The journey to obtaining a driving licence can be long, complicated, and expensive for a person with a disability. If adaptations are required, it is difficult to practise driving privately, and it can be a long distance to a driving school with a suitable training car. As a result, driving lessons often become very costly.
Our driving simulator offers a safe environment where you can practise driving in various traffic environments and conditions, with different levels of difficulty. The simulator is equipped with various adaptations and can be adjusted to suit your needs, providing a realistic and controlled experience before going out on the road.
Examples of adaptations that can be selected include hand controls for acceleration and braking, steering ball, pedal extensions for shorter drivers, left-foot accelerator, and extended controls for indicators and windscreen wipers. The simulator can also be adapted with handlebars for individuals who have difficulty using a regular steering wheel. The handlebars can be used with or without integrated controls for acceleration and braking.
