Welcome to Mobilitetscenter

Mobilitetscenter in Gothenburg was founded in 2002 with the vision of improving mobility for people with disabilities. We specialise in conducting thorough assessments of abilities for safe and independent driving. With our many years of experience and wide range of assessment tools, we welcome people of all ages and do not limit ourselves to specific diagnoses.

We also provide support and advice on solutions that make car travel possible and safe for children and young people with disabilities.

At Mobilitetscenter, you will meet a team of experienced occupational therapists and driving instructors who create a safe and supportive environment.

For visitors, we offer support on driving issues from various perspectives—assessing fitness to hold a driving licence to exploring adaptation options and personalised solutions.

For parents of children with disabilities, we advise on suitable car seats, specially designed seat belt systems and other solutions to make travelling by car possible and safe.

For referrers, we offer a range of services and cooperation opportunities – from driving fitness assessments to adaptation assessments, as well as information and study visits. We use innovative tools to objectively assess motor and cognitive abilities tailored to each visitor.

For occupational therapists, we offer peer support, information on tools, and interpretation support for assessment results. Our resources are designed to improve assessment practices, enhance the accuracy of driving fitness assessments, and foster understanding and dialogue.
